Who we are
EPSD is a decision-enablement advisory built for senior leadership at technology-dependent organizations.
We work at the nexus of engineering reality and executive decision-making, helping leaders understand what's actually constraining delivery, where risk is compounding, and which interventions will make a material difference.
We are not a delivery firm. We are not looking to create work. We exist to help leadership teams make better decisions about execution, risk, and governance before cost and complexity compound.
What makes us different
Most consultancies speak either to engineering teams or to executives, rarely both with equal fluency.
EPSD bridges that gap.
We translate technical and organizational signals into leadership-relevant insight. We make causality explicit without assigning blame. We help leadership teams align around a shared view of reality so decisions can be made deliberately, not reactively.
Our work is grounded in evidence, shaped by experience, and bounded by clear intent. We do not prescribe solutions. We create the clarity that allows leaders to choose their own path forward with confidence.
Our approach
We believe that most organizations don't lack capability. They lack clarity about what matters most.
Slowed delivery, execution barriers, AI adoption, outages and incidents: these are never isolated technical problems. They are symptoms of misalignment between business decisions and engineering capacity, between leadership intent and organizational behavior.
EPSD helps leaders see those connections clearly. We surface trade-offs before they become irreversible. We distinguish urgent intervention from issues that can safely wait. We ensure leadership can explain and defend their choices even as complexity increases.
This work is decision-focused, not methodology-driven. It stands up in executive and board settings. It respects the difference between insight and action.
No Surprises. No Conflicts. No Exceptions.
EPSD and its principals do not solicit or accept referral fees, under any circumstances. When we recommend a tool, vendor, team, individual, or service firm, it is solely because it is the best fit for your needs.
As technology industry veterans, the EPSD partners hold individual investments and advisory or board relationships across a range of organizations. We provide a conflict of interest statement on request and commit to disclosing known conflicts before any engagement begins, or immediately upon discovery during one.
Work should be well-scoped. We deliver value and leave. Engagements run 90 days maximum; most are shorter.
EPSD is not a body shop. We do not do fractional, interim, or staff augmentation work. For those needs, we are glad to recommend firms and individuals we have worked with and trust.
We do work on repeat engagements with clients, but only on differently scoped strategic projects, not on implementation. We recommend service providers and vendors for implementation work.
